Discussing the Consultation on Heat & Energy Efficiency Strategies, and Regulation of District Heating

The public events, held over two days in Inverness and Edinburgh, brought together over 130 participants, including members of the Heat Network Partnership Practitioner Group, and other interested parties from across Scotland, to discuss proposals set out in the Consultation on Heat & Energy Efficiency Strategies, and Regulation of District Heating. It is one of a number consultations published in January 2017 on the draft Climate Change Plan which is currently under parliamentary scrutiny, the draft Energy Strategy, and Scotland’s Energy Efficiency Programme.

We would like to thank Highland Council for hosting and supporting the Inverness event.

Feedback from the events will be published with the Scottish Government response to the consultation.

In this blog we give our reflection on running the consultation events, and the views expressed by participants.
